Curriculum Questions

What levels of dance does the curriculum cover?

The curriculum spans beginner to advanced levels, with carefully structured progressive goals that build skills step-by-step in classical ballet and jazz.

What method is the curriculum?

Our ballet syllabi are inspired by the techniques of Enrico Cecchetti, George Balanchine, and Agrippina Vaganova.

Each syllabus contains realistic expectations at that level, an outline of teaching goals, an overview of class structure, lesson plan implementation prompts, six to eight lesson plans built to achieve goals, a terminology list (ballet only), and a sample progress report.

Do the lesson plans include videos or music?

Student Journal Questions

Who is the journal for?

The journal is designed for dancers ages 8 and up who want to take an active role in their growth. It’s perfect for students using the Dance Studio Syllabus curriculum—but works beautifully alongside any structured dance program.

Can this be used with any dance style?

Yes! While created alongside our ballet and jazz syllabi, the reflection prompts and goal-setting tools are genre-neutral and adaptable to any style.

How many classes does the journal cover?

The journal includes enough pages for a full dance season (plus!)—48 weekly class reflections, along with mid-season and end-of-season review pages.

Is this a teaching tool or a student tool?

This journal is made specifically for students. It complements the teacher syllabus by giving dancers a structured space to reflect, retain feedback, and stay engaged week to week.

Is there a digital version available?

Not at this time. The journal is designed as a physical product with durable paper and coil binding to make it easy for dancers to bring to class and write in directly.

Do you offer bulk discounts for studios?
